What is hackGSU?

hackGSU is the Hackathon hosted by the GSU Computer Science Department's ACM & IEEE student organizations. 100% free of charge, Lots of Food, $$ Prizes $$. This semester, hackGSU will be a 500+ participant event taking place from March 31 - April 2, 2017.

Who can participate?

All university students*! You do not have to be a computer science major to participate in the competition! If you're someone who is willing to learn and wants to take a shot at changing the world, no matter what your field is, you definitely belong here.

Gene Challenge

I spend a lot of time sitting in airports, traffic, metro transit, and most of all in bathrooms. Your challenge is to keep me entertained! This can be anything that alleviates boredom!
Prize: $200 and a trophy!

GE Prize

This prize is for the best use of IoT. GE is giving away Echo Dots and Roku Premiere+.

Covello Prize

Best Sports Hack
Prize: 2 AKG HeadPhones and 2 JBL Pulse Speakers

Anthem Grand Prize

Anthem Visitor Challenge Winner

Visiting and office or apartment as a guest is such a pain. You have to check in at security, call down someone to let you in, check out when you leave and more.

Bring this situation into the future! Track visitors using beacons, apps or anything you can think of. Make sure you think about it from the offices perspective and the visitors perspective.

If you're local to Georgia, please register!If you're not from Georgia, please register, and make sure to drop us a note so that we can help reimburse travel expenses (while funds last).
